Industrial Emissions Directive (IED)

Background

The European Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) replaces several existing directives as of 7 January 2014. These included:

• Integrated Pollution Prevention & Control (IPPC) _{(Directive 2008/1/EC)}
• Large Combustion Plant Directive (LCPD) _{(Directive 2001/80/EC to be revoked 1st January 2016)}
• Waste Incineration Directive (WID) _{(Directive 2000/76/EC)}
• Solvent Emissions Directive _{(Directive 1999/13/EC)}
• Three Titanium Dioxide Directives:-


• Titanium dioxide industrial waste _{(Directive 78/176/EEC)}
• The surveillance and monitoring of titanium dioxide waste _{(Directive 82/883/EEC)}
• The reduction of titanium dioxide industrial waste _{(Directive 92/112/EEC)}
